Lanzini recovers from successful surgery

|

Manuel Lanzini spent the night at the Hospital Quirón Barcelona in Spain after his surgery on torn anterior cruciate ligaments by pioneering orthopaedic surgeon Dr Ramon Cugat last night.

He will be visited today by West Ham’s new head of medical, Richard Collinge and should soon be discharged to begin his recovery.

West Ham expect to find out preliminary results from surgery today but it could take some time before the true recovery period can be estimated.

Argentina Football Association’s official Twitter account @Argentina confirmed the surgery was successful saying in a translation: “Footballer Manuel Lanzini was operated today successfully from the injury suffered on his right knee. Come on Manu!💪”

Argentian media outlet VarskySports reported that: “Lanzini will take 6 months of recovery and he received messages of support from the entire Argentina football squad”
