Leroy: AC issue must be driving Slav insane

|

leroylogoSo Andy Carroll is missing again and Diafra Sakho with just half an hour behind him looks likely to start for the Hammers tomorrow.

Here’s the truth the Hammers board will surely know by know we can’t go on like this.

And that means at the end of the season they have to assess every single aspect of the Carroll thing and come to some decision because it must be driving Slaven Bilic nearly insane.

Week after week he is having to change the formation simply because he has a player in the key position and can never rely on him being fit.

It’s another reason why the manager should not be left to shoulder the blame for an awful season and a big issue for the board when they come to their review of the campaign.

I don’t know the answer but have said before in a perfect world  reckon the time has come to get rid because no manager can cope with such a situation.

Personally, I’d always go with Sakho because there is more in his game than AC’s and that’s not to knock the fella – he’s very good at what he does but I prefer Sakho’s movement and pace.

So ideally let’s move AC on and bring in two or three front men because Calleri to has to go. I can see nothing in his game at all.

So tomorrow it’s Stoke who are always a tough call on their own ground and that is far from easy despite their lack of any recent form.

But it’s not so much City but our own lack of a cutting edge which I see as the problem. Hopefully Slaven will start Sak and we must hope  he is getting sufficiently up to speed to provide that vital finishing power

Nortveidt was impressive in midfield last week and although Mark Noble is fit, the Norwegian deserves to hold his place on last week’s display.

If not it’s gonna be another tough old 90 minutes when we will need more of the same of last week’s performance and the danger of a defeat is always there.

But I’m an Iron and an optimist so I’m going for the draw.

Agree Leroy there is little doubt a top striker will arrive in the summer. I’ve no idea who but I do expect a big name to arrive despite what the haters are spouting. Same goes for Antonio, he will stay, he’s just flexing his muscles to ensure he gets what he is due. He still has 3 years on his contract.

Hughie hate to say the ads are utterly out of control again. You seemed to get them under control when we moaned before but your ads partners are taking the pi55 again mate.

Sorry Hugh but John is right. I’ve stopped looking at the site on my iPhone as the ads jam it up. Now it’s getting to be a pain with other devices. I enjoy the site and appreciate the hard work plus necessary financial aspects. However it’s getting to be a case of killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

    • Absolutely no prob on android – easily dismissable ads with the cross.

It depends on tolerance level I spose – no issues with android or i pad

I’ll talk to them – tell me which u r complaining about

What comes across to me is that West Ham’s players really do owe it to Slav. He is that nice a guy, as in they be prepared to die for this man who has given everything. He (Slav) just doesn’t know if he’s done enough? Or can do enough with what’s left of the season. I really hope every player go off of their blocks with blood, sweat & tears to win all these next 4 games. If not all 4, then 2 at the very least. West Ham are not safe. Let’s be clear about that. If Man Utd & West Ham both win this weekend, then West ham are safe. Who’d be a manager eh? I just think that Slaven is that nice guy & also, just like how Ibrahimovic stated that he would die for Mourinho, then West Ham’s players must have that same commitment for Slaven.

You are a kind man Leroy to ease the burden on Slav, I disagree of course he is responsible and has made mistakes in being too loyal to his existing players, I don’t think either that Sakho will start, my guess is that despite what he says in the press Slav hasn’t forgotten his grudge and Sakho will be on the bench, as for Nordveidt he should keep his place but will he now that Noble is back ? Time will tell although I am with you that a draw might be a good result for both teams and both may be happy enough to play one out.

Yes, it’s becoming a bit of a saga about Carroll – there’s no way that Bilic can rely on him, he’s no use to Bilic or the Club – just a waste of time, effort and money – an absolute nightmare for Bilic.

It’s been made doubly hard by Sakho having fitness (and temperament?) problems – we’ve had virtually no attack for large parts of the Season – it’s been very disappointing.

But what to do about Carroll – ideally we’d ship him off to China for a shed load of money and he’d never darken our doors again, but things don’t work out like that. Maybe Newcastle could be talked into taking him, but you’d think Benitez would be shrewd to fall into that trap!

So who knows – but please God we can get rid off him and move on and play proper Football – instead of hoofball.

That’s ironic. Every time I hear positives about Sakho, it is always his pace. Seems like Sakho is the one with not much to his game. Meanwhile, Andy gets back and defends, can play in the air and on the floor, has even had some nice assists. Not saying we want him to do all of those things, but I thought it was an ironic criticism.
