Report: ‘Antonio wants out of Irons’

|

antonio2212_726A report in this morning’s Times claims that that Michail Antonio has issues with West Ham over his current injury and contract situation.

The injury angle is the only new element of the story and we will of course be checking the story out during the course of the day with our usual sources and update you when we have the response.

The Times report reads: ‘Michail Antonio will seek to leave West Ham United this summer after the collapse of his relationship with the board and resentment over the club’s handling of a hamstring injury that has ended his season.

The 27-year-old has rejected a new contract due to unhappiness at being offered significantly lower wages than West Ham’s January signingses , Robert Snodgrass and José Fonte.

Antonio’s performances have made him a favourite among West Ham supporters, who have already seen Dimitri Payet, the team’s star player, leave amid acrimony this season.

Antonio attracted interest from Chelsea during the last transfer window and is determined to force his way out of the London Stadium this summer.”

Based on previous conversations with sources it seems an exaggerated version of the situation but we will get onto this one post haste!

Nothing new IF true, it makes you wonder why our once great club is being dragged down like there, in fact there is only one player who will never want to leave, he is on too good a number Mr Holby Casualty Carroll, and no one will ever want him/

Trying not to over react to this but if true that’s my favourite player going. I hear maybe Kayoute too……not sure what that leaves to entice me to part with my money every other week…..Lanzini on a good day and how long will he be happy here.

Awful news but I don’t blame him at all . New signings of much less ability coming in on better money and the club in disaray. Awful gobby owners and clueless transfer dealings have already driven out the poisoned frog and Sakho is heading down same route . Top it off with playing him out of position to accomodate the worst player in the squad and I am amazed he is still there . Same goes for Kouyate .
