Liverpool 2 Irons 2 – what the fans thought!

|

West Ham managed to come away from Anfield with what most would believe was an unexpected point after the Arsenal horror.

How did the fans see it – here are the views of many on the ClaretandHugh Facebook forum at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/

nortO A point is still a great result, Randolph knew his mistake cost us all three but he’s been great for us so it’s onwards and upwards
O Great point!
O What a result against a Liverpool side that kept us defending most of the game. Let’s hope the Hammers have turned a corner with an away draw to Liverpool, never an easy place to go.
O Even Nordtveit played okay. Still haven’t forgiven him for Spurs so just an okay
O That’s is a well deserved and unexpected point well done boys lets home we can move on on Wednesday
O Head up Randolph . One of those things, brilliant save later
O Good to see Randolph feeling the pain of an error but still making up for it.
O Good result but disappointed not to win. Thought Nordtveit did well today always have defended him never been given a chance and did well I still think hes a good player.
O Bilic is either a brave man or a gambler, deciding to try and see it out for 20 mins at Anfield. Pulled it off though.
I have to admit I am well nervous whenever Nordtveit gets the ball or when they are running at him. Great point today COYI.

Randolph’s error did NOT cost West Ham two points. How could it? It was in the 48th minute, FFS. His save late in the game SAVED them a point……. It was the best save I’ve seen in years.

Well, the ‘Month of Death’ could have been worse. Ignoring the cup game, the best we could probably have hoped for was three points. Mega optimists might have expected one win. Could have been 4 losses. Doesn’t really leave us much the wiser though about long term prospects for the manager. It is the next month that will surely decide. What’s the minimum from Burnley Hull Swansea Leicester? I reckon 7. I would hope for more, but would settle for that, especially if we stop giving away goals like Christmas presents. Less than that and I think there would have to be a change.
