Maguire for Hammers update

|

Harry Maguire MAY be one step closer to a West move according to ClaretandHugh insiders!

As we have reported earlier, the manager is desperate to sign the player even though the central defender believes he has been insulted by a £20 million offer to the Old Trafford club.

Moyes desperate for Maguire

However, we understand that despite that medical information allegedly has been being shared with us by Manchester United.

That will include injury history to better inform us, ahead a medical should the switch reach such a stage.
United dismissed our opening £20m offer for Maguire despite having no other offers for a player who had cost them close to £80 million when moving from Leicester City.
There is growing optimism within the club a package can be agreed upon, although Maguire’s valuation is problematical for the two sides to broker.
Sun Journalist Alan Nixon reporting on his Patreon  has claimed that medical information had also been received on  Scott McTominay but that has been denied again by the hammers to CandH.

Just we knew, why Moyes, is so Desperate to have him, it is clear on Social media, that the fans who support & follow the club, are simply NOT! Why does Moyes, want a player, who is finished, and pay £30 Million for, is it so we play a really slow game to allow him to play? This is a Major Mistake!

Really can’t see it happening after that ‘insult’.
Maybe Leicester are dumb enough to pay 40m and his wages.

Just so tired of this guy’s arrogance. Just because we’re not the manager of a club, we know absolutely nothing about football… Maguire? Really? £35m for a mistake-prone, slow, aged centre back on £200k a week, who doesn’t actually want to come to the club… Wow, how far we’ve fallen to be this desperate.

Hugh, do you think any of your sources at the club read these comments and take any notice of the club’s fanbase? Why would they blatantly disregard the resoundingly consistent views of their paying customers?

Financially based on what United are looking for and his salary demands the deal makes no sense whatsoever. But I have two other issues with this deal. From a football perspective it suggest we will play 3 at the back so where does Naguure play in that back 3 ! For me Aguerd is perfect as the left sided one as he has serious pace but I dont see Maguire as the right sided CB as i dont believe he has the pace. Neither does Zouma so not sure if the signing makes footballing sense either. And tfe other issue I have is why do we want to sign players not wanted from clubs we are competing against which ultimately makes them stronger and solves their problems – which makes us weaker.

I don’t want to see West Ham sign cast-offs from any team, especially Man United. We’ve had them in the past and not many have been successful signings.
