Moyes admits he’s in the dark

|

West Ham boss David Moyes admits he knows little or nothing about reported interest in investment at the club.

ClaretandHugh revealed this week that there are seven interested parties but that although nothing is imminent it seems certain the club will be be joined by a new investor who will take around 27 per cent of the shareholding.

Moyes, however, remains in the dark and when questioned by reporters yesterday declared: “I don’t know anything about it at the moment.

“I’m not in a position to talk so until the club issue some sort of statement or say something I don’t know if I can answer that.

The people at the club would need to explain a little bit more what it means. Would I enjoy investment? Well I don’t know if it’s investment in the team, in the club, the building?

I don’t if it’s the finances. Probably until I get more information I’m not the best guy to talk to.”

Very well said DM, maintaining decorum and keeping your own counsel is perfect in terms of concluding a significant transaction.

This feels proper, neither party making any direct quotes during the NDA period, which is how it should be done.

It’s taken a while for the speculators to form an orderly queue, now fingers crossed we close the right deal with the best in class!

A little early to expect any significant detail at this stage.
