Moyes central defensive “injury” issue against Bees

|

West Ham skipper Kurt Zouma was left out of the Arsenal game via an injury he had picked up.

Kurt Zouma may be an injury issue

Zouma is known to struggle with two games a week anyway but such was the importance of the Gooners clash that had he not picked up the knock – believed to be against Everton – he may well have been included.

However, we are led to believe by sources inside the club that he may well be fit for action at Brentford.

However, given the performance against the north Londoners it could well be that he will miss out anyway which would be quite a radical move given he wears the armband.

Moyes may do that as Mavropanos has been more than an adequate replacement for a player who appears to be lacking the mobility and pace he had in the past.

Alternatively, he may leave him out to give him extra time to make a total recovery should he not be 100 per cent.

I thought Mavro looked good, he was very mobile along with Aguerd, he pinged a good ball and had a good old run down the channel. He also needs consistent playing time, in for one game at a time is not helpful to anyone.
