Moyes deal “virtually done” but no announcement today

|

West Ham won’t be announcing that David Moyes has signed his new deal today despite the’s Daily Telegraph revealing the opposite in their story  on Thursday

But CandH has been on the case for most of the day and it seems  the club and manager have what was described as “virtually done the deal.”

In reality the position is a fair bit ahead of where we were when the site first reported the three year contract was waiting on the final paperwork and it wasn’t until today that The Telegraph, Sky Sports and talkSPORt caught up with the situation.

The Telegraph, however claimed they had been tipped off an announcement was due today (Fri) with SSN and TS claiming it would be next week.

Various sources within the Hammers were either “too busy” to respond to our inquiries or withdrew under keen questioning but we eventually  managed to get a statement this evening.

We were told: ” It’s virtually done. The small print is under examination but all discussions are amicable. We are not sure exactly when the announcement will be made “

Good news, the first major signing in place but it is what comes next that will dictate the progress we make next season. I just hope and pray we will not end up with signings like Abraham and Barkley. Just not good enough and I just hope Moyes is on the same page, the striker we sign has to be better than Antonio and Abraham is certainly not that. Chelsea will be just delighted to take 30m off us, watch not one other single club will go in for him and we will think we are great that we signed him, terrible football decision but I trust Moyes so I don’t believe for one second he will sign him or Barkley.

Great news , he earned it , the players respond to him & we have team spirit and unity , it’s great . He has shown he can spot players that will fit in with the team , he does love a player that works hard , don’t we all . So whoever he chooses be it Abraham , Sima , hozlek , whoever we should trust his judgement . COYI ⚒
