Moyes hopes West Ham can achieve Chelsea double

|

David Moyes told reporters yesterday he hopes West Ham can do the double over Chelsea this season after beating them 1-0 last December at the London Stadium.

In yesterday’s pre-match press conference ahead of the London Derby on Sunday Moyes said: “I’m hoping lightning can strike twice! I’ve seen Chelsea quite a lot this season and they’re a really good team. They’ve got some excellent players. Up until Manchester City win the league, Chelsea are still champions. We’ll go there and give them great respect, but obviously go there with a game plan to try and get a result. I’ve been fortunate to be at the top clubs and they must win all their games. It’s part of their job. Don’t think for a minute that they’ll try and switch off because they won’t. You’ve got to hope that you try and catch them on an off day. We can perform well and we did that previously in the game against them. I think if we can do that again, we’ll give them a really good game.”
