Fan view: Moyes is the problem not Soucek

|

Despite his recent goal scoring heroics, Tomas Soucek is seen as a problem by many fans on the various forums but here Claret and Hugh follower johnham1 offers a different view claiming David Moyes is the problem not Soucek

He writes: “It is very easy to be critical of Tomas Soucek and how he plays but I don’t see him as the problem.

The fact is that he does not fit the style of football and players we are putting together with Steidten and Sullivan to the fore and a manager seemingly completely doing his own thing.

The person to blame is David Moyes a very limited coach proven by lots of factors none more so than buying James Ward Prowse and putting most of his emphasis on goal getting from set plays.

There are so many examples which culminate in the boring football we are currently seeing and the dreadful performances.

Soucek has a part to play but not as a starter in my opinion. Losing 1-0 with 15 mins to go, needing to defend a 1-0 lead with 15 mins to go – but not starting games. Same with Ward-Prowse.

Moyes is, and will be the problem until he is sent packing or resigns, which for me cannot come soon enough.
