David Moyes was left fuming after West Ham threw away the chance to finish sixth in the Premier League.
The Hammers were 1-0 up against Brighton at half-time and, with Manchester United losing to Crystal Palace, that result would have been enough to secure Europa League football for next season. 
But three second-half goals from Brighton gave Graham Potter’s side a 3-1 win that they thoroughly deserved based on the second half.
Joel Veltman, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck all netted and the result means the Irons will be playing in the Europa Conference League next season, rather than playing in the second-tier European competition.
And Moyes did not hold back after the game, insisting that he simply didn’t care about the fact that the game was the last of the season, and was fuming at the level of the performance.
Quoted by The Athletic’s Roshane Thomas on Twitter, the Irons boss said: “They know I’m not happy. I don’t care if it’s the first or last game, they have to perform in all the games. I’m not happy with that performance today.”
Moyes even warned that, if performances continue at that level, the Irons will quickly slide down the league table next season.
He added: “If we play like that then we’ll be challenging at a different part of the table.”
