Moyes snubs 14 goal PL striker

|

Ivan Toney

Reports that West Ham are keen to sign Brentford’s Ivan Toney are incorrect.

The Independent – via inews – claims that we are keen on the striker at a fee of around £40 million who grabbed 14 goals last season.

But we can reveals that Toney is not a player on David Moyes’ list of potential striker signings and that he rejected the chance to take him from Peterborough  before he joined the Bees when a price of £8 million was being sought.

Very Low RaterAnd as we have made clear in recent reports the Hammers boss has no plans to sign a striker at a big price preferring instead to look for a younger front man to challenge Mikey Antonio up front.

The only striker the Hammers would go big for is Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa and unless Steven Gerrard is double bluffing Moyes on the price he wants in the hope of getting more that won’t happen,

An Irons source told us: “Toney is not an option. Watkins would be but Aston Villa aren’t the least interested in selling him to anyone.”

For once on moyes side here way overpriced at 40mill well done Brentford though good choices they make . But missing out on free kamara was strange does that mean Gerrard is a better pull with no Europe ? and to be honest I think next season they won’t get Europe either.
