David Moyes targeting three specific positions

It will be a busy summer once again at West Ham, with numerous outgoings and incomings expected.

And it seems as though David Moyes has three specific positions where he wants to strengthen should he still be in charge of the club.

According to the Evening Standard, Moyes is prioritising the additions of a full-back, a centre-back and a central midfielder this summer.

It is also suggested that attacking reinforcements may depend on whether or not there are any outgoings in that department.

It is pretty obvious that a winger with pace should be right up there on Moyes’s priority list.

Speed is something that we desperately lack as a team, and if the Scot is intent on playing counter attacking football again, then he needs to add more pace to his side.

However, aside from that the three positions named are definitely in need of strengthening. We need younger, quicker and more attack-minded full-backs.

Meanwhile, in the centre-back department, the admirable Angelo Ogbonna is now 35, whilst Kurt Zouma seems to struggle with injuries, and sadly we sold Craig Dawson in January.

And last but not least, Declan Rice’s inevitable exit means that David Moyes must make two elite central midfield signings to replace him in.

This upcoming summer transfer window will be the most important one the Scot has overseen during his time in football management. Let’s hope, if he still around, he does a better job than last year.

I see no reason why Moyes won’t be here next season. Sully is not going to pay him off and Moyes I doubt very much will leave of his own accord.
