No change on barometer despite win

|

A win against Southampton have made no difference in this season’s West Ham barometer designed by Andy Dennis. The Hammers remain on minus nine after beating Southampton away last season in the corresponding fixture.

West Ham had climbed back to minus six after the Chelsea away win but losses against Wolves and Arsenal dragged them back to the minus figure.

The barometer looks at West Ham’s results compared to last season to give a more accurate representative of the season to date. Relegated teams are replaced by promoted teams in the order they were relegated and promoted.

West Ham faces Crystal Palace next, a game which was a draw last season followed Leicester City which was also a draw.

Wins against both of these teams could bring back four points to reduce the deficit to minus five while losses could leave West Ham at a season low of minus eleven.

Got a chance to claw some points back over next three games, we only made 2 from 9 in last years corresponding fixtures, so anything better than that and we’re reducing the deficit.
