No inquiries as transfer window looms

|

West Ham have not had a single inquiry for any of the squad either in summer or so far as the winter window approaches.

The club will be hoping to offload any of several players who could be available as they look desperately to sign a back-up striker with Josh King still favourite.

Among those regularly reported as being available are Ryan Fredericks, Manu Lanzini and Andriy Yarmolenko.

But Claret and Hugh understand the club has received no offers whatsoever for any member of the squad and that includes the captain Declan Rice.

However, that is not going to stand in the way of them hoping to bring in King with whom – we have reported previously – the club would look to do an easy terms instalment plan with Bournemouth.

King was keen to join the Hammers when on deadline day there were doubts as to whether Said Benrahma would become available but despite travelling to London hoping for a late switch it didn’t happen.
