Noble hails superb defensive performance

|

Mark-Noble-640914Mark Noble marched out of Wembley delighted with a point against Spurs.

The captain insisted he was not unhappy after Pedro Obiang’s strike had been cancelled out by a Spurs equaliser saying: “I’m not too disappointed. We defended brilliantly and to have four points in in to days is great.

“It was a fantastic defensive performance and the team worked really hard throughout and Pedro  strike was brilliant.”

The midfielder had strode forward to hammer a magnificent drive into the Spurs net on 70th minute but Noble laughed: “I  have no idea how he got into that position because he and I had been told to sit in front of the back line and go nowhere.”

Goalscorer Obiang added:”We worked so hard and when I got into that position I decided the best thing to do was have a try – it was a great goal for us and the first shot on tare for us.”

Of course he was happy ! Captain marvelouse was the culprit for destroying a very good defensive performance by doing what he only capable of doing week in week out , not able to close down or rush a player who isn’t within 1 yard lol! Add to that turning you’re back on son as well sums the limitations he has and one of our biggest problems concerning the team !
I’ve mentioned it before and now I’ll say it again players with no pace or able to sense danger are a liability and will cost you points ! Noble fits this point 100 % . he can pass he can flick but he can’t run ffs and its cost us 2 points , add on top of that our 20 million pound medallion man ayew who with half a brain would have just slipped his effort over the grounded keeper and we win the game ? A game of very limited chances for us which highlights our problem yet again and when gifted with a chance like that 20 million quid is you would have thought been more than enough to convert it ! Not to be and definatly not acceptable , add kouyate header and you see quite clearly where our problems lie ! Awful !
Can’t help being negative but at times it was making the spuds look like world class players but in reality were not that much better than us ? Yes we take a point but 3 should have been the reality! No point in mentioning reids dismal showing on show for everyone to see but rice was my standout player along with ogbonna who has kicked all his critics into touch !
I’ve seen clearances by 7 year olds better than Carroll’s but what do you expect from a premadonna who thinks he should start from the off ! But once again showed his limitations again !
Let’s hope we have a active window starting tomorrow if possible and on tonights performance based on offensive capabilities , midfield abilities ,Sullivan needs to dig deep !
I may and do sound negative but ffs its in clear view once again and a clear out needs to happen and new blood injected into the team !!! We take the point but it should have been 3
    😤.

I think it is harsh to be too critical of Noble he actually won a lot of balls and bought a few free kicks, as Moyes said if Lanzini hadn’t gone down he would probably have been in position to defend that shot, I am not Noble’s biggest fan at all but in a defensive rearguard imho he did well tonight. The away support was something else as well, after scoring chanting at the spurs fans we’ve only had one shot, we’ve only had one shot was hilarious COYI !!!

      • sleepswithdafishes says:

He had a dam good game like most of them. Poor Laz can’t quite come to terms with it.

    • Hammersone says:

Lazarus did you watch the second half against West Brom noble was quality and got us going and back in the game.he was also superb against Chelsea and Arsenal..your criticism is ridiculous and I don’t think you know much about the game at all..you need putting in your place regards your negative unjust criticism of noble.

      • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

What you going to do to put me in my place , Strong words even for a keyboard noblete warrior !

    • Hammersone says:

Oh and that block made at the end in our box..not sensing danger my arse.

    • ReggieHammer says:

They had 31 shots – we had 3. They had 71% possession – we had 29%. And you end your rant saying we should have got all 3 … you are deluded mate!!

      • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

One nil up against the run of play and you still can’t see the problem which noble brings ! Deluded ! Don’t know about football ! Bolloxxx ! Nobletes to the rescue with their white sticks waving ! Poor fishes still can’t get his head around the game and see when at this level of football can’t see the problems that were still having , add a few more to that adding their limited knowledge to the game even when Moyes has said we need to strengthen midfield . along with 100,000 more observers , didn’t you see the limitations of this side tonight ? Lofl !! Jacques Cousteau’s was gliding pass noble who is starting to resemble a pointer ( that’s a dog ) telling people to shut this one down and that one down ? Why ? Because he can’t get near them anymore ? Unless their in lunge distance ! Legs have gone no pace, probably his last season at this level !2 or 3 steps forward he puts son off his shot or it strikes him ? Basic footballing demands !! That’s my point of view and if you don’t agree say you don’t ! The snidy digs because you don’t see my POV
Shows you’re limitations in observation for all to see so keep em to you’re self nobletes
Just talk football whether you’re right or wrong keep the bolloxxx in you’re locker it only escalates into more bolloxxx !

        • ReggieHammer says:

Nobody’s disagreed with you that Noble may not have the legs but he played well against West Brom and played quite well yesterday against a very good team! You need to pop a Valium and calm yourself down before you get a hernia! Rant rant rant … you actually give good opinions sometimes but f*ck me do you go on when people disagree with you… zzzz

          • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Rant ? Valium 😂 read it and read it again and it might sink in ! Clearly you have a problem interpreting someone else POV ! Who said he had a bad game or didn’t ?? Please tell us all the relavance of his performance to the west brom game ? How does that have any bearance on the spuds game
??lost us all there mate ! Read again and see the point I’m making and not make you’re self look like a Thatcher incomprehensive failure ! Stating a observation dose not ! I’ll say it again ! Does not state nobles contribution to the game was bad, it was average good and poor !, I stated a point which if you’ve read niall mc,s ratings he’s been kind in putting his POV over without saying why ! Open you’re eyes mate and get some omega 3 down the throat !! Noble is a liability end of for me and others ! Its obvious !!
State you’re opinions for you and don’t criticize others for theirs , question for you , could noble have done more to stop the equaliser !
In you’re opinion , yes or no ? Give us you’re view ! But think before you answer Einstein 👦 change my mind and opinion ! I’m big enough to hold my hands up are you !

          • ReggieHammer says:

😂😂😂😂😂 I’m actually done. Thanks for yet another long boring rant. You are mental p.s cheers for getting the nibble 🎣

        • Hammersone says:

Lazarus you should really get out more, and have a life outside of Mark Noble! Don’t forget to take a Valium or 3 before bed tonight!!

  • indelec says:

How come no player ratings tonight Hugh? Is it coz you dislike obiang so much you can’t actually bring yourself to write about his goal an performance, if it had been noble you would have been giving him 12 but yet again his lack of pace all game showed up allowing dyer in first 10 mins to play like he wasn’t even there. I like nobles as far as him being west ham through an through an his desire to play well but he has not got the pace you need now, Oxford should be given that role alongside obiang infront of back 3 of rice Oggy an Reid with Antonio lanzini an Arnie ahead an Hernandez an a quick new striker ahead of them

  • jimbo says:

Reid is in danger of becoming a liability I’m afraid. I’m starting to see why Moyes is so keen to bring in another CB. Rice and Ogbonna are looking great together but with Ginge getting on and Reid looking so poor, maybe we do need another one?
I still want a defensive midfielder to eventually take Noble’s place as we seriously lack pace and effective distribution from the back.

    • sleepswithdafishes says:

I’m wondering whether he is carrying some injury. He has never been this way before, and is still in his prime.

  • sleepswithdafishes says:

Pity Kouyate could not convert that sitter when we were 1 – 0 up, but it was a very decent result.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Pity noble didn’t go forward instead of backwards ? Maybe we nick the 3 points ! That obiang strike deserved , and up to 11th !
