Mark-Noble-640914West Ham skipper mark Noble is out of Saturday’s game against Leicester City.

The club has tonight announced that the captain is struggling with inhury and won’t make it against the Foxes.

In the “From the Treatment Room” column Head of Medical and Sport Science Stijn Vandenbroucke says: “Injury-wise, we will be without Mark Noble this weekend.

“Mark picked up a knock in training and passed a fitness test to play against Chelsea. He pushed himself 100 per cent in that game, and then after a few days of recovery and improvement, he played again at Bournemouth.

“Unfortunately, he picked up another knock in the same area of his body in that game and that took him out.

He will also miss Saturday’s game against Leicester City too and a week of rest and rehab will help to prepare him for the three-game week coming up against Hull, Arsenal and Swansea.

Meanwhile, Stijn says: Diafra Sakho who is getting stronger and stronger and he will start training with the PL2 squad next week.

“We work closely with Academy Director Terry Westley to ensure we can introduce returning players to controlled sessions, and Diaf will train with the PL2 squad for two weeks before he returns to training with the first team.”

“Another knock in the same area of his body”, that is really informative and enlightening. If it wasn’t so convenient, people might believe it.

The reason does not matter . The team selection is what counts . Perhaps we will now see our best available formation ( Cresswell ? ) with players in their best positions . Byram is raw and will make mistakes but so have all of the others tried in the position . The result though is Antonio wide up front and Kouyate and Obiang in central midfield which is an enormous step forwards . COYI .

So we are now being told that he was played despite injury which also left us compromised at right back too? Shambolic management. Trying to pull the wool over our eyes I suspect…

  • Swanie says:

Master i think since the outburst by him things have been fluid with this situation. If MN walks up to the management yesterday and says he cant handle playing tomorrow it is hardly shambolic management.
I really don’t get why some of you love it so much when you find an article where you come to life by calling management, players shambolic, disgraceful, rubbish.
Its almost as if some of you sit waiting for this sort of article each day so you can moan.

How soon it changes, last year it was Noble for England Christ that was a lucky escape , afraid this situation is down too Slav , should have done this months ago, Mark,s a strong enough guy , he’ll come back stronger,

  • Stan The Man says:

Well i think that you can only say this is down to Slav if you wanted Noble dropped. There are still many fans who support his inclusion.
So many personal opinions amongst fans.
