OS may be back on Spurs agenda

|

olympic-stadium-and-west-ham-badge-pic-pa-391417952Sadly, the whole issue of Spurs and their possible use of the Olympic Stadium is raising its very ugly head again!

According to the London Evening Standard he will discover “the extent of fan opposition to Tottenham’s proposed move to Milton Keynes when he meets representatives of the club’s Supporters Trust on Thursday.”

The Standard says that Levy and other senior officials will hold discussions with Trust executives later this week, in a meeting that is expected to take place at the club’s Enfield training base.

Opposition is growing fast among the White Hart Lane hordes and it is thought that anti-Milton Keynes stickers will be distributed at forthcoming fixtures against Hull and Partizan Belgrade.

Wembley and the Olympic Stadium are the other possible homes for Spurs, although the expense of using the national stadium is high this putting the spotlight back on the OS.

West Ham officials have regularly insisted that the use of the Stadiumn by any other club than ourselves in the first system won’t happen.

But ClaretandHugh we have again put in questions to key individuals and will update this story once we receive responses

you state that “West Ham officials have regularly insisted that the use of the Stadium by any other club than ourselves in the first system won’t happen” this is not true, as west ham officials when quizzed in the house of lords had to state that as a matter of acceptance we had to welcome use by others. Brady is on record along with Hearn ststing we would share if ordered to.

I’m told that the potential for the Spuds to be homeless is likely to be 2 seasons and not one. I find this thought hilarious and I can see this seriously restricting them not just in playing 38 matches per season away from home but the high cost to them, coupled with the ground development, will restrict their transfer dealings. Given their poor start this season, I see 3/4 years of the Spuds being in the wilderness. Happy days!

There is only one place the Spud fans will want to share less than Milton Keynes and that’s the OS with WHU. Ok maybe the Emirates with the Ars. Haha suffer!!

here we go again well I for one would like to make it clear to our owners that I was among the many who did not want to move to the OS and though you have to accept it will happen I was willing to give it a go and see just how much of the truth behind the words like ICONIC,WORLD CLASS stadium would be, but with the doubt around not being able to see where you will be seated until you get invited into club London to be shown I have my doubts and with this SPUDS story coming up once more I would like a straight answer to a straight question…. Will we have to share the stadium whether we like it or not with another football team… if the answer is yes then this is one unhappy hammer who will never set foot in the place… the Boleyn is our home and when we shared that with Charlton for a brief spell it felt wrong and this OS saga is feeling wrong each day that goes by…. its to be ours and ours alone for football we were told we will make it feel like west ham but if that shower across the way think they can wangle there way in because they never planned ahead as to where they would play whilst that place(cannot bring myself to say the name)is being rebuilt why should we have to share with them…the animosity felt between the clubs is well documented so fans of both clubs deserve the truth…. but of course we are only fans silly me to think we will ever be told the truth.

Unlike you mcbikeman I wanted to move to the OS, every day that passes I get more excited by the prospect, every post on the official WHU website about the OS excites me more, as much as I love the BG and I have happy memories of the old place, it’s had its time and it’s time to move on. Like you however I do not want the Spuds near the OS other than when we play them. I have put my trust in our board from the outset and they have not let me down, I trust them not to let this happen. I hope I’m right.
