Pellegrini fires off a ‘Yarmo’ warning

|

Manuel Pellegrini has singled out three players for an honourable mention ahead of the Sunday clash against Chelsea.

As the league leaders prepare to arrive at a London Stadium where their recent record is not great the manager reminded us: “It’s impossible to make a better start than Chelsea.”

However, confidence is growing in the squad and the boss was ready to pay tributes to Declan Rice, Pedro Obiang and Andriy Yarmolenko.

He said: “”Declan did very well last time, as did Pedro Obiang. You never know which players will be fit but you know you need the maximum availability from your squad.”

And after two goals and something of a dream debut the manager fired a clear warning to the rest of the Premier League over Yarmo.

He said: “I said before that it would take Yarmolenko a few weeks to get used to the Premier League. He has a lot of quality and he demonstrated that. This performance showed he is a top player.”
