Macca hands out his marks

Fabianski: A couple of sharp saves against 2 of Brighton’s few chances 7
Coufal: Looked to lose a bit of position discipline tonight – seemed to be in some strange areas of the pitch late on 6
Ogbonna: A pretty relaxed return to the sideĀ  7
Dawson: Very close to another set piece goal 7
Cresswell: Had a tough time against Jahanbakhsh and few chances to get forward 6
Rice: Great to see him back, his absence has cost us several points 7
Soucek: Released a little with Rice back in the side. Noticed he often headed for the near post when a cross was coming in, whereas he would normally pull away to the far post 6
Fornals: The sort of game where his energy and running stood out 6
Bowen: Like so many, no shortage of effort but just couldn’t create anything concrete 6
Lingard: Bright start. Took some heavy challenges but kept trying to make something happen 6
Antonio: Another game against a solid defensive outfit and struggled to impose himself 6

Subs
Benrahma: Well finally it’s happened – a finish of real quality got us a point which was probably what we deserved 7

Benrahma has the monkey off his back.
    Looking forward to more.

It seems if they play a wide right player, we need a back 3. Cress was too narrow and his passing was poor – it also gave the goal. Forrnals a bit deeper as he still nosebleeds in the box. Mikey – look to stay in 6 yard box and score. Pleased for Benrahma.
