Ref Moss rapped for Irons/Saints display

|

Former Premier League referee Poll has stuck the boot in to official Jonathon Moss after another controversial display.

Andy Carroll had some hard hitting comments about Moss’ performance when he awarded a spot kick against us in the 2-2 draw against Leicester towards the end of last season.

And Poll has come out with some stinging comments in his Daily Mail column saying: “In a relatively straightforward game the Wearside referee struggled to maintain control with virtually every decision being disputed and challenged.

“The fact Moss cautioned seven players, five of them from West Ham, in a game without a nasty tackle showed how he failed to manage the match.

“When players respect referees they accept that good referees can miss incidents; when they don’t they just think the referee is a bad one.”
