Reid and Holland involved as Irons win again

|

Irons U23s 4 Villa U23s 0

Winston Reid had his second run out for the Irons Under 23s tonight as the soaraway Premier Leagie 2 Division 2 leader overwhelmed Aston Villa 4-0.

Winston is now well on the comeback trail and looked in decent touch after his international break with the New Zealanders which saw him return to the Hammers after 45 mins game time.

Bt there was bad news for those of us who were hoping to see Nathan Holland inc;uded in the squad which meets Spurs at the London Stadium.

Instead he was involved for the under 23s as well and was responsible for the first goal of the game which entered the net after a cross hit him in the midriff.

There was also a return to action for Ben Johnson who has been laid off with a hamstring injury whilst another top prospect Anthony Scully was again among the goals grabbing the fourth whilst Alfie Lews grabbed one and Dan Kemp the other although the Dubious Goal Panel may be involved

Not sure what players like Holland have to do to get a chance in the first team.
