Report: Cardiff to swoop for Hammers ace

|

Cardiff City are set to swoop for a West Ham youngster in the summer, according to a new report.

Aji Alese is said to be a target for the Championship club in the next transfer window.

Alese has only made two senior appearances for the Hammers in total, although that number could rise over the coming weeks with the likes of Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna, and Issa Diop all injured, while Craig Dawson is suspended against Arsenal this weekend.

He has been a standout for the U23s, making 55 appearances in total, and he is also an England U20 international, with two caps under his belt.

Cardiff are likely to come in for Alese on loan, instead of doing a permanent deal for the player, and he has gone out on short-term deals previously, per Wales Online.

Previously, he has played for both Cambridge United and Accrington Stanley on short-term deals, and a loan to Cardiff would make a lot of sense for the Irons.
