Report: Hammers could swoop for Man Utd man

|

West Ham could swoop to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to a new report from 90min.

United boss Erik Ten Hag is attempting to completely revamp his squad and has splashed the cash on Casemiro.

The defensive midfielder has pushed McTominay down the pecking order and he could subsequently leave before the end of the transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes is said to be a big fan of the player, while Newcastle are also interested, along with Everton, Southampton and Leicester.

United are looking at bringing in further midfield reinforcements, too, meaning that McTominay could become expendable.

He has made 172 appearances for United in total and is also an experienced Scotland international, with 34 caps.

He has a contract with the Old Trafford club until 2025 and while 90min don’t specify a fee for McTominay, he is valued at £28.8m by Transfermarkt.

The Irons do want to sign another midfielder, with the only arrival thus far in the middle of the pitch being Flynn Downes from Swansea.
