Report: Hammers have Grealish in their sights

|

West Ham are being reported as holding an interest in highly rated Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.

The Daily Mirror has linked us to the outstanding midfielder who was fully expected to move on after a top season but stayed in the hope he could drive the midlands outfit promotion this season.

The Mirror reports that ourselves, Spurs and Bournemouth are all keen on the 23 year old who was at the centre of shocking scenes recently when attacked by a Birmingham City fan in the  local derby at St Andrews’s.

His retort to the trouble was magnificent and scored the goal which saw off the Bluenoses and is part of a team that has now reignited its promotion charge into the play offs with four straight wins since his return from injury!

Promotion to the PL would damage hopes of signing him but should Villa fail it’s likely he will want to move on.

It’s easy to see why he’s been linked with the Irons as he is exactly the kind of technically able and creative influence loved by Pellegrini but would cost anything up to £30 million.
