Report: Hammers keen on Dutch midfielder

|

The Hammers are reported to be monitoring Bologna’s highly-rated midfielder Jerdy Schouten as a major summer target.

He has reportedly been watched on numerous occasions by club scouts this season and head of recruitment Rob Newman – whose areas of expertise are in Italy and Spain – is believed to have been on his case.

The 25 year old Dutchman has been in great form and with Mark Noble retiring, the Hammers are very keen apparently to get a deal done as they bring in fresh legs.

David Moyes has admitted that he will be looking to bring in players to reinforce the squad and Schouten is believed to be one of those high on his list
