A report claims West Ham are leading the chase for Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy this Summer.
The Australia player signed a three-year contract when becoming Huddersfield’s record signing in a £10 million move from Manchester City after the Yorkshire club’s promotion last summer. He is likely to be offered an enhanced deal to stay.
He is already Huddersfield’s best-paid player on £32,000 a week, but West Ham could approve if he decides to switch to the London Stadium.
The 27-year-old rejected offers from Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton to turn a season-long loan at Huddersfield into a permanent transfer after playing a starring role in their promotion campaign.
Mooy is in the preliminary 32-man Australia squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia and he is expected to join his international team-mates for 20 days at a training camp in Turkey.

Aaron Mooy is a quality midfielder with a real ‘football brain’.
Could be a good link up with Lanzini and Mario (assuming the latter [layers remain at West Ham)
