Report: Moyes gives Carroll hair dryer treatment

|

moyescarrollDavid Moyes is tonight being reported as having singled out Andy Carroll for his own special brand of hairdryer treatment after the game against Watford.

According to an on-line Mirror report he laid into the Geordie striker, seriously reading him the riot act following a dangerous display of petulance and attacking impotency.

The manager took him off after a couple of reckless challenges which could haveĀ  seen the striker red carded but it was his overall performance which allegedly had Moyes seeing red.

The Mirror reports the Scot is understood to have told Carroll in no uncertain terms in Vicarage Road’s away dressing room that his display was not up to scratch and he needed to liven up.

Though Moyes didn’t begin his reign with the result he wanted at Watford, he is understood to have made a positive impression since taking charge.

And tonight a training ground source told CandH: “This is very different to what they have become used to and they are responding to the new methods. The manager is right in there in the middle of everything on the training ground. He’s very hands on.

He is talking to them collectively and one on one whilst introducing some totally new methods. It’s not going to happen overnight but the players are enjoying the new regime.”

He was definitely at the end of the queue when they were handing out the brains!

Martin Samuel wrote an interesting article in the Mail this predicting that someone is going to be seriously injured by these flailing elbows – Carroll is a liability!

Its about time, he knows exactly what he is doing with his arms and he could cause spinal damage to some of the people he is assaulting if he catches them wrongly, I am surprised their wasn’t retrospective action taken for the foul on Zeeglar it should have been a straight red, all this he is only looking at the ball rubbish, he knows exactly where the opponent in and his arm is in an unnatural position if he was using it for leverage, it is what it looks like a leading elbow.
