Report: New Hammers target

BalantaSam Allardyce is today being reported as making River Plate centre back Eder Balanta a priority target.

The 21-year-old   is a member of the Colombian squad that is competing at the World Cup in Brazil.

Allardyce has sent a scout to watch the defender in action, with a £6m bid in the offing, according to The People.

But the report makes it clear that a host of English clubs are tracking the youngster

    Not just English clubs, the very best will be looking closely at him, be great if we could Snaffle him but I fear a AC Milan or Barcelona will blow us out the water, he is top top quality.
