Report: West Ham free to talk to 30-year-old winger

|

West Ham is reportedly free to talk to Nicolai Muller over a free transfer in the Summer which could see the winger see sign a pre-contract with the Hammers. German media suggests the Hammers have been given permission from Hamburg to speak to the 30-year-old who is out of contract with the German club this June.

The Hamburg winger was ruled out injured for seven months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament celebrating a goal last August. Müller netted the only goal of a game in Hamburg’s 1-0 win over Augsburg last Summer but joy quickly turned to agony as he fell to the ground clutching his knee after his celebration imitating a helicopter.

The winger has just resumed light training at Hamburg as part of his rehabilitation from his severe injury.

If any player , no matter the age can improve the squad , I don’t care where they come from or what condition they are in …. we have the whole closed season ahead of us .
We need to build so , how we do it is up to Moyes . Newspaper speculation ( media in general ) is non stop and despite complaints they say what they want . Untill we see any speculative player in Claret & Blue it’s all media invention . We seriously need a bigger squad to compete with the rest , and quality sighnings are hard to come by without Millions .
It would be nice to at least reach the Level of Arsenal . Always there abouts in the mix .
( at the moment it’s Spurs , but Arsenal level should be our aim ) . Would also be very nice to have a fit and available AC . Contentious I know , but he is one dangerous player and gives us a lot of options with the squad Moyes is trying to build . Hope he stays .
    Yeh ; I still back AC .

Carrol gives us one option rather than lots of options – and only very, very occasionally.

With regard to Muller, he is clearly not the sharpest knife in the draw, what a tw*t! He’s been out all season with a serious injury, 30 years old. He sounds like serious competition for Carroll for a treatment table. No thanks.

All of this doesn’t sound like much of an overhaul of the recruitment, what about the stats based approach to targets. I expect it is only paper talk anyway…

  • Clive says:

im sure there are many more injury prone players over 30 we could be linked with between now and the end of the season.

Sounds very West Ham . He’s on a “free”
