Diafra Sakho has suffered a hamstring injury which is likely to see him miss games.
David Gold tonight revealed the goal scoring hero of today’s game at Old Trafford but can’t say how long he will be missing from action.
It’s dreadful luck on the player who has just returned from injury but no assessment will be made until he has been scanned in the morning.
Gold declared: “it’s a hamstring injury, hard to say how long Sakho will be out until we see the scan. Great goal though. dg”
Sakho’s low header from Dimi Payet’s cross into the box gave the Irons the lead in the second minutes and Sakho was outstanding until he sustained the injury later on.
He didn’t look in great discomfort when he left the action and will be hoping it’s a minor problem such as was suffered recently by Winston Reid who made a rapid return to action.
Surely this means a run in the team for Fletcher now?
He has done more today than Zaza,Calleri,and Tore have all season.Lets hope the injury is slight (time we had some luck on the injury front).
Standard is 5 to 6 weeks for a hamstring unless it’s a minor tear, feels like we are cursed but agree Fletcher must get his chance COYI !!!
Where are all the idiots now saying Sacko must never play for us again . He acted like a silly little boy but he has been treated terribly by the club . He is one of the best strikers in the league when fit . The same morons will be saying Noble for England again soon . Of all of his awful performances , and there have been many , this was the worse . It was the worse 90 min performance I have ever witnessed in the top league . Can’t wait to read what they say .
