Scamacca deal is wide of the mark

|

Reports that Roma have agreed on a deal with West Ham to bring Gianluca Scamacca to the Stadio Olimpico for the 2023-24 season on an initial loan with a buy option have been denied by sources close to the club.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com this afternoon, West Ham are prepared to let Hammer Scamacca leave on loan with a fee of around €5m (£4.3m) with an option to buy for €22m (£18.9m)

West Ham has made it clear that Scamacca is not available for loans, and any offer needs to be permanent for the total price the Hammers paid for him last summer, which was £30.5m plus add-ons.

Italian clubs just do not have the money, and the Hammers are in no mood to let another striker leave on the cheap.

West Ham expects to keep all three strikers this season and does not see the need to prioritise the striker position for this summer.

With Juve already kicked out of Euros might be a good destination for him.
Got to get a replacement first tho.
