Slav is MAN and manager of the year

|

Slaven-Bilic (1)It’s Player of the Year time when the obvious very often becomes totally predictably and boring.

Not this year, however, as players from unfashionable clubs lead the way with ourselves and Leicester representing the changing of the guard at the top of the Premier League.

That’s all been well covered and we don’t really expect Dimi to become the top man do we?

However, it’s not the Player of the Year that interests me as the MAN…ager of the year and although Claudio Ranieri will have a big shout I reckon there’s only one serious contender – Slaven Bilic.

Ranieri has dignity…Slav has the charm and integrity to go with it – he refuses to moan about dodgy refs despite getting the seriously rough end of the stick all season long.

He’s warm, funny and affectionate – a manager who within a year has coped with a ridiculously long campaign, produced results which nobody could have dreamed of and met triumph and the very odd defeat with maturity and self belief.

Who van forget his one liners about “parking the bus with the handbrake on” or away wins being as “good as walking into a room full of girls.”

No wonder we all love him. He has restored a footballing philosophy we had thought was dead forever and done it with a huge smile on his face.

Integrity is his watchword – he tells the truth in all circumstances and has brought the pride back to not only this great club but to the game of football as a whole.

Slaven Bilic step forward – you are unquestionably the MAN and manager of the year with this website!

Hi Hugh he said you park the bus but with the handbrake off (I.e so you can move quickly forward if required rather than staying parked in defence with the handbrake on ) agree completely that he is probably the man of the year due to those great quotes and the way he handles each situation, we as a team have had the worst of it with reffing decisions and Leicester sit joint top of the table along side Man U for the best of reffing decisions, had those positions been reversed we would be top of the table above Leicester by a distance. He probably is manager of the season but there is no way I can begrudge Ranieri if he wins it and will be happy for Leicester to perform the miracle!!!

Love Bilic but Claudio Ranieri has it done and dusted and rightly so. His job as Leicester City was to guide them to 40 points and safety, instead he has guided them to being Premier League winners.

There is not even another manager in Europe, let alone England who deserves it more. No one else can even begin to come close. Not even our great manager Slaven Bilic.

Claudio Ranieri has also had some great funny interviews and as always in his managerial career has never slagged off the referee.

I’m with you Stinger. Slav deserves the award, but Ranieri worked a (sport) miracle; he’s above all a real gentleman and then a good manager, always been labeled as “Mr. Second Best”. He had his revenge and he deserves to live this dream. Bilic will win the award next year 😉

Shame they can’t share it but you have to give it to Leicester and their manager,
Slav is a Man of integrity and will be the first to point at Ranieri that is what makes him the Man we love
