Slaven Bilic has made it clear the season’s first big target is 40 points!
The Irons step into Eurpean action tonight against Slovenia’s NK Domzale but the boss knows that the safety from re;egation target is the one that really matters.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s game he said:” “I am a confident, over-optimistic person but apart from top seven clubs on paper everybody is looking forward to 40 points and that includes Leicester also because we all know what can happen in the Premier League with Newcastle.
“A massive club that spent £80m in two transfer windows they went down so you better work hard and play good and then there is no limit.”
And he predicted there will be one big name manager who will be slaughtered for not making it into the top fve.
He explained: “There are five of them and one has to finish fifth if they are the top five. One of them is going to get slaughtered (for not being in the top four) and they are all big names.
“And if you add Leicester and Spurs. They will probably be unhappy to finish sixth. Everton as well.”
Would have preferred him to say 70 points,
Or that we are going to spend £40 million and buy A French Forward,
Or that we were going to buy a brilliant Right sided defender followed by a brilliant Left Back,
Just for starters,of Callerie signs and AC stays we can bring in plenty of money by Selling Valencia,Sakho,Poyet,Obiang if they are not going to be part of his plans,

What he says is correct.Apart from a handful of clubs every other team is indeed wanting to pass that 40 point mark & then take it fom there.It is a spot on comment.
Most teams will be pleased when they reach the 40 pt mark.The difference is Bilic will see it only as a stepping stone.BFS saw it as his goal for the season.Am I allowed to say that without the Fat Sham ass bandits getting cross lol
