Robert Snodgrass’ contract is up in the summer with an option for another twelve months.
The player has just made one appearance all season and has been forced to be patient in his role as a squad player.
The one saving grace for Snoddy is Moyes doesn’t view him as a winger but more a central midfielder and that is a role we don’t have a lot of spares available in case of injury.
With Wilshere leaving Snodgrass can cover Pablo Fornals in case of injury as well as an understudy for Declan Rice or Tomas Soucek in a more defensive role.
The Hammers would probably get next to nothing for the 33-year-old in a transfer fee and with little to no transfer funds available in January, so he is a player Moyes will probably hold onto.
Snodgrass took his place on the bench again at the weekend with the absence of Michail Antonio and seems happy to play his small part in the squad.
i like Snoddy’s commitment and energy and can see him deputising in an offensive cm role. he would be a sub-standard defensive midfielder, though
Future? Too right. Rob also has a present to play now. He is a quality act and fits in perfectly with the West Ham way of today. He only adds to the team when he is playing.

If he is happy to remain as a squad player we should do everything to keep him. His energy and attitude has always been 100% and he is a useful attacking midfielder with a good eye for a pass and a cross.
