Song return game target

songAlex Song has a target in mind for his return.

As we reported yesterday the player had been hoping to make it back for tomorrow’s game against Chelsea but the game had come just too early for him.

And in an official website statement the club revealed that he is ready to return to training next week afyter club insiders had told ClaretandHugh the midfielder was “nearly ready.”

However, it usually takes a couple of weeks for players to get back to first team fitness after rejoining the first team squad and that means he is targeting the Everton home game for his return from injury.

Stijn Vandenbroucke, Head of Medical and Sports Science had told the official site: “Alex Song has done very well and has completed most of his training with the rehab fitness coach. He will resume team training next week.

The player’s return date had always been pencilled in for November after surgery to remove a small pice of bone from his amkle.
