Souček Stars with Assist

West Ham United’s midfielder Tomáš Souček showed his prowess on the international stage with a standout performance for the Czech Republic national team. In their friendly clash against Norway, Souček played a key role, providing an assist that helped secure a 2-1 victory for his side.

After falling behind to an early goal by Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb, the Czechs swiftly responded. Souček initiated a quick counter-attack and delivered a precise cross, setting up David Zima to level the score.

As the game progressed, the Czech team gained momentum, eventually clinching the win with a stunning free-kick from Antonín Barák in the closing stages of the match.

Souček showcased his talent throughout the game, playing the full 90 minutes and earning his 67th cap for the national team. The victory will boost the Czech Republic’s confidence as they prepare for the upcoming UEFA European Championship.

With their next friendly against Armenia scheduled for Tuesday in Prague, Souček and his teammates will look to carry their winning momentum forward.

The midfielders form has been much improved for West Ham recently, although he’ll be forced to play alongside a new midfield partner with Edson Alvarez missing three games through suspension.

Meanwhile, fellow West Ham player Vladimir Coufal was not included in the matchday squad for the Norway game. However, given his recent impressive performances for the Hammers and the busy fixture schedule ahead in April, his absence could provide him with a well-deserved rest, much to the satisfaction of manager David Moyes.
