Stan the Man gives Sam a Villa vote

|

CollyStan Collymore reckons Sam Allardyce or David Moyes are ideal candidates to take over manager-less Aston Villa.

The former Villa striker reckons Big Sam should be a top candidate and his view follows a report on ClaretandHugh that some Villa Park power brokers believe he is the man to steer Villa out of their current mess.

Collymore said: “Sam Allardyce is out of contract shortly at West Ham. Reviled at West Ham only 18 months ago, a club builder, a benign dictator … a Midlands man.

“If he was given the resources to do the job Villa would be in a similar sort of position that West Ham are in.

“The other way is David Moyes. Could Villa extricate him from Real Sociedad? Even at this early stage of his tenure he is doing quite well with them. He’s getting results and he is a loyal man so the answer is probably no.

“But that’s the type of calibre of manager Aston Villa need to go for.”

Stan I totally agree with you. BFS is a club builder and a (benign) dictator. But hurry on, QPR and Fulham could steal him!

I think he’s right, if your clubs a mess he can come in and repair the damage and bring you back to stability BUT thats about it. If you want to get towards the top of the table or win a trophy (something he has never done) you need to look elsewhere

Yes Stan, I always knew you were a man of vision. Get Villa to sign Sam Allardyce now. Reasonable transfer fee and one or two fans all willing to taxi him up to Birmingham…
