This Iron has the keys to open Chelsea up

|

Today can be Manu Lanzini day!

There’s few left out there who don’t believe he should be given a start for Said Benrahma after a series of impressive substitute performances.

We have waited a long long time for the guy to come back to his very best and it seems to most that on the strength of the last couple of games he’s not far away.

Fair play to the journo who asked the question of Moyes as to whether his time was here with the manager being forced to respond that he was very close.

Benny was bought to give us a creative spark but it’s been very hit and miss and now is the time to allow the Argentinian a chance to shine in the same role from the start.

I believe he has all the skills to open a Chelsea defence and give us a victory.

I would also like to see Issa Diop given an opportunity as a younger central defender who may well have a long Hammers future in front of him.

What we can’t allow to happen is a sense of disenchantment to creep into the squad and I’m sure Moysie is well aware of that .

Here’s my team and prediction for today’s game assuming whispers that Cress won’t make it are correct:

Fabianski; Coufal, Diop, Zouma, Johnson; Rice, Soucek, Lanzini, Bowen, Fornals, Antonio.

Prediction: 2-1
