Dimi Payet has convinced everybody in English football that he’s a superstar.
However, getting the message through to his national team coach Didier Deschamps appears to be something of a problem.
Dimi has now scored nine goals and set up eight others for the Irons this season but Deschamps has yet to be convinced.
The former Chelsea midfielder said: “I’ve already called and I have already spoken to him about it. I said that I expected more from him than he (produced) when he was with us.
“It was not enough. In the France team, he does not do the same thing (as he does) in his club.
“He is someone who is powerful in the club. He often plays on the left in a 4-3-3. He has some very interesting statistics on the left.
“But after that there is a competition issue. In this position on the left, the competition is from Anthony Martial, Antoine Griezmann, Mathieu Valbuena, Hatem Ben Arfa or Nabil Fekir before he got injured.”
Payet has described his continual exclusion from the French squad as an “injustice” but Deschamps insisted Payet has only been left out for football reasons.
He said: “Problems of attitude for Payet? No these are false problems.
As if I could not manage players… It is a choice about football based on the other competition.”
Just seen the so called list of stars keeping him out of the team,none of them play in the same role as Dimitri and if Numb nuts watched him play he would know like us that he is not best on the left,
If he was with Chelski,Man U or Arsenal this idiot would pick him,Deschamps was a basic box to box grafter with non of Dimitri,s gift or talent and ex players from this mold seem to have a problem wi h quality ( a little bit of Jealousy)
If he does not play for France all the more fitter for us,just a mother great loss to the watching public,
I remember when Revie would not play Hoddle because he would not tackle back,when Dimitri turned his back on Saturday and they scored Descamps would had said told you so and turned the TV off MUG

Actually i think Deschamps like Woy has made a decision a long time back , and neither of them have it within themselves to admit they may have got it wrong . Still like Bub says , it keeps him fitter for the club ( Nobes too ) .
I don’t want him playing for the French, let him rest over the summer and come back fresh for the what could will be the most historic season in our history…
To be honest i think international football is boring,national teams are run by has beens.Nothing is more frustrating than not watching west ham play due to Woys boys having to play meaningless games.
(…Despite the anthem!) Payet has to be the greatest French player apart from Zidane…So Dechamps says no thank you….He can’t see what the whole of rest of the world can…. By definition, Dechamps can only be a pig-headed prat. Can we adopt him for England??
Payets stats are better then all those players overall, deschamps said in an earlier interview a couple months back that he thought payet was a trouble maker that should not be speaking out about his non selection …anyway less chance of him getting injured and less chance of a massive club like barca or real coming in for him after the euros …its a shame hes 28 not 22 otherwise we would only have to wait another 9 1/2 years for him to get selected for england as a naturalised englishman lol coyi!
