Top Ten West Ham United

|

Since the start of the Premier League, bearing in mind we had a stint in the Championship and various relegation battles. Where do you think we appear in the all-time list?

I was very surprised to see we are in fact in 10th place, but not at all surprised to see us with the third worst goal difference of minus 218 goals !

  • NY WHU says:

It’s hard to compare points and goal difference between teams that have played such different numbers of seasons. If you average points per season, West Ham is in 16th place with an average of 47.4 points per season. Man Utd is on top with 79.8 points per season. The big six occupy the top six places, followed by Leeds, Wimbledon, Blackburn Rovers, and Everton.

The Irons are slightly better on goal difference per season: 15th place, with negative 9.1 goals per season. Interestingly, there are only 9 clubs out of 49 with a positive gd, ranging from 38.9 for Man U in first place to 1.1 for Blackburn Rovers in ninth.
