UEFA to watch events at London Stadium

UEFA will closely watch events at the London Stadium this Thursday to make sure trouble is not repeated in the Europa League game.

Three arrests were made following disturbances during West Ham’s Europa League encounter with Rapid Vienna with widespread crowd troubles.

Fans hurled objects at each other on four separate occasions , while a number of Rapid fans jumped over advertising barriers.

The European authority have yet to chargeĀ  either West Ham or Rapid Vienna but the outcome of their other group games.

London Stadium security and safety officials will take steps to ensure away supporters do not have access to missiles and steward the away section better.

Rapid Vienna bought their own supporter liaison officers and stewards, some of which who were ejected from the stadium after their inaction and reported collusion.

The Hammers currently top group H of the Europa after back to back 2-0 wins over Dynamo Zagreb and Rapid Vienna.
