West Ham’s Soucek popped up to score the winner against Everton on Friday evening
When BT Sport asked on the win, this is what the 25-year-old replied:
“It was a big win because we start this year like this and we are happy for [The Premier League] table, it’s very important how we can start the year and continue, I hope this carries on’
Asked about the game before his winning goal Tomas said: ‘I think we created more chances with good spaces but they kept more of the ball, we showed our spirit because we wanted to win all ninety minutes and from 80 minutes I felt our team had confidence and Mikey [Antonio] should have scored as well, we had more spaces and it was decided at the end”
Asked about three games in six days the Czech player said “It was hard for me – the first time in my career,” he said on BT Sport when asked about the hectic schedule. Normally I have three weeks off and I eat some potato salad in the Czech Republic.
“But I love to play football during Christmas time. Three difficult games in six days, so it is really good for us that we end and now we have got some days off so we can go to our families.”

He really seems a lovely bloke,,and a top player, you can see how much he loves the game and humble to go with it , he gives 100% every single game and to me that’s all I ask …he works so hard and knows he has a privileged job …good on you tom….keep eating that potatoes salad⚒⚒⚒⚒🤣🙏
Childish, top comment for a top bloke, more players of his and Coufal ilk will be worth their wait in gold… Top professional with no airs and graces.. 🔝
Thanks mate …I’m as fickle as the nxt fan, but if they put a shift in like this lad ,win or lose I’m happy..well not happy if we lose but content,( ‘if the works there)’ ,and this bloke never goes missing…..even better when he has a smile on his face each week
Coyi ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒🥂
What an addition this lad is. You can see in his interview that he is trying with everything he does. His English needs work but he doesn’t hesitate in trying his best…fantastic! No idea what the potato salad is about but that made me chuckle – I’m sure his team mates will wind him up when het gets back to training again. A very well deserved 4 days off now and a good rest – so they can come back refreshed and inspired. Well done WHU, well done coaching staff, well done DM…carry on producing the points and it will ensure all the DM doubters and haters keep thier moronic mouths shut!
