West Ham board’s summer moves so badly needed

|

The appearance in this season’s European Final is of course a brilliant moment for the club and fans!

We will all be praying that we beat Fiorontina but we can never lost sight of what a  terrible League season this has been other than the mini revival which saved our Premier League lives.

The reality of just how poor it was in reflected in stats which show that we lost 20 league games. Only Bournemouth and the three relegated teams lost more.

That is an absolutely shocking statistic for a team with our supposed ambitions and it is absolutely right that the board has stepped in to the point where a director of football is on the way in and the spending to be back in their hands again.

A director of football is normal at all clubs and long overdue at West Ham along with a promised change in the recruitment process.

Hopefully it will ensure that we suffer no more seasons such as this one where our Premier League has been under threat for so long are a thing of the past.

The only think that matters for me is Premier League survival and a West Ham top half season every season.

Anything else is a bonus!

As usual Hugh is basically right. I think a ‘top half’ finish is a minimum requirement and that we should regard this league season as Moyes achievement. The Euro cup would be fantastic. My major worry is that they will keep Moyes on if we win and then after ‘x’ number of games be pushed into a change with the main managers then not available. PLEASE be active now and at least the new manager will have his choice of new player/s. Every pundit keeps saying we have a good squad; if so Moyes cannot handle them. His treatment of Flynn and Benni is disgraceful. Happy new season everyone. Mibatch

Well I for one feel we have some exciting players in our youth team that need a chance . We’ve got some classy players in our first team as well then we have players like Ings playing and Cornet not given a chance!!! . Then the cringe factor , we lost 20 games this season. Never hit 40 points. Please 🙏 don’t say Moyes is staying.Football gods I beg you 🙏 No

Mate, there are simply not good enough.
The Premiership has no space for passengers
