|

West Ham U23’s take on Bristol Rovers tonight in the Checkatrade Trophy. The invited clubs (which are Academy sides of 16 Category One academy clubs) are all U21 sides. However, teams are permitted to field five players in the starting XI who are over the age of U21, although only two of those five are permitted to be over-21 players who have played more than 40 senior matches.

The West Ham XI  is captained by Hammer Reece Oxford and includes the inform new recruit Xande Silva who will hope to add to his five goals in the Development squad.

Silva will be hoping to impress Manuel Pellegrini as he pushes for an early chance to move up to first-team squad this season.

The game kicked off at 7.45pm at the memorial stadium and remains 0-0 42 minutes into the first half.
