West Ham forced to wait on summer window targets

|

Moyes with head of recruitment Rob Newman

West Ham will receive no shortlist of players from David Moyes and Rob Newman until the club know which division it will be playing in next season.

It has been suggested elsewhere that the pair are close to handing such a list to David Sullivan but that was immediately denied by the club.

West Ham are four games away from a possible relegation disaster and neither Moyes, usually incredibly hesitant in the market anyway, or Newman, are in any position to suggest possible new arrivals.

The same is of course true of current players being offered new deals with the club telling us this afternoon (Thurs) that there is no way any decisions of either scenario can be enacted at this stage given the perilous circumstances of our Premier League position.

We were told: “We cannot begin to think where we might go for players until we know exactly in which division we will be playing.”
