This figure is almost certainly net spend, not total spend which means Spur’s figures are distorted by the £111m they got for Bale and Modric.

The table you are showing is spending in 2016 – not 2010-2016 – read Your Source again

    And your point is?

They sit 2nd, we sit 18th. It’s not about how much you spend but who you spend it on We have signed some truly dross players, they have signed some cracking players. Pains me to say it, but they also have a far better owner who actually understands football. (Depsite saying that, I still cannot stand slimy Levy)

We are not 18th because of our new signings Stinger, we are 18th because last years players have been lazy, if the whole team worked we would probably have 12 – 15 points now. The players that have been trully useless this season in general, have been Adrian, Collins, Reid, Noble & Kouyate, then the players that have been good offensively but refused to press have been Antonio, Lanzini and Payet. Judge the new players when they work in a team with all people pressing and the team operating as a unit, of the new players its only Tore that worries me, he seems slow and overweight for a PL footballer, who knows he may even be decent in a team that fights for each other and every ball. IMHO it is unfair to judge the new ones until the real West Ham turn up 🙂

      • Stinger says:

Zaza, Calleri, Nordvedt, Tore to name four of the new signings have been worse than useless.

The off field issues and toxic feeling among West Ham fans have had a clear impact on both our players and manager. (IMHO)

Plus the bull**** our owners keep coming out with and their cheapness has played a major factor as well.

As mentioned else where and at the games “This was your dream Dave’s, NOT OURS”

  • Bolla says:

Well Stinger – my point is that claiming WH have outspent PSG over 6 years is wrong, absolutely, bisarrely, incredibly f…ing wrong

Some of you guys really do get agitated over unimportant stuff. Its just an article, take it or leave it.No need to get indigestion over it Lol
Is funny i can still recall a couple of seasons ago Spurs fans moaning how their club had blown the Bale money on dross…

  • Tone says:

Spuds £110m of talent signed with Bale money..Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Christian Eriksen, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches and Nacer Chadli,
Two of them are left now so dont tell me they don’t buy gack as well sometimes Lol

  • jimbo says:

Tone is spot on. Every club buys their fair share of dross. We have been spoilt recently with the likes of Chek, Payet and Lanzini coming in and hitting the ground running, so our expectations are high. Unfortunately Calleri, Zaza and Tore are all struggling to have the same impact. But on the bright side, Tore has his own song already!

It’s only a graph and you can represent anything in any shape or form using graphs . Not worth getting excited about .
The only thing that is blatantly obvious as far as we are concerned is that we are not performing at all well in any department , both on and off the pitch .You don’t need a graph for that !. .. I don’t like to , or see the need to , single out certain players or groups of players. It is the team effort that needs addressing. When the team begins to get it right all those individual players being moaned about will suddenly look a lot better and sharper .
The question is , of course , When will that happen ?. Time stands still for no man and pretty soon it will be a 1/3rd of the season gone .

  • Alfie says:

You are right Kevin they need to get this season up & running sooner rather than later that is for sure.
