Social media is a wonderful thing when you can time hop back to see what people were saying about West Ham before the start of the season and before Olympic Stadium tickets went on sale.
My favourite tweet is from Niall Harbison posted on 1st July last year.
“Football chairman are egotistical idiots. (West ham + Leicester sacking Big Sam + Pearson). I’d have both odds on to be relegated”
Well Niall, Leicester City lead the Premier League by five points and could well win the title while West Ham remain in fifth place just two points from fourth place and a champions league spot. We remain in the FA Cup just 90 minutes away from a FA Cup semi-final with Everton at Wembley.
Yesterday’s news that there are less than 500 seats left at the Olympic stadium brings a new set of opposition fans that can now find fame and be forced to eat some humble pie. They said we would never fill it, they said we were a small team, that we would be relegated before we got there that it would all end in tears!

First time posting on this site, I have to say I’m a massive fan of the website!! Just wanted to share my input because I want to be able to connect and share my thoughts with my fellow hammer fans. Their are always going to to be people who will talk down and spew crap about what they don’t know. The only way to consistently be the best, is to ignore the noise and bullsh*t around you and keep moving on and improving your game. Every week I here pundits who keep having to eat their words. I must admit I am feeling really happy this season. I did also have my doubts that we would have the fan base to fill the stadium at first. I have been to a few games where the stadium was not exactly full. However I soon changed my mind when I thought about the new stadium and the transportation links that we now have. I still think that the 2nd and 3rd seasons will be the marker of us. Will we still be selling out 60,000 seats?
With my WHU hat on I say Yes as we will be CL all the way 🙂

Nothing wrong with being an armchair fan on this site mate, we all qualify to be supporters whether we can go to matches or not. 😉 but remember what you wish for… for one of the first season’s in many a year I am getting what i’ve always wished for, a good west ham team challenging for trophies & being in the mix for european qualification. Could any west ham wish for more this season??
