West Ham v Spurs Press Conference

Slaven Bilic is holding his pre-match press conference at 10am this morning ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Spurs. Here are all of his summarised quotes courtesy of @WHUFC_Official:

“Diafra Sakho  has been training with us for a week and we will see him today. He might be in the squad.”

“We are without Sam Byramn  Hard to believe a player of his stature has got ten bookings and will be out for two games.”

“We have been playing well and hope it continues. We had a couple of home defeats at the start but we are not losing since.”

“We want to be stable at home. We are playing good and it is team-work. The back four and keeper take a lot of credit.”

“But it is a team game and I hope it will continue like that.We have some players back and Winston Reid & Enner Valencia will be back”

“We hope to have both of them back in the next week.”

“Michail Antonio came here from the Championship dreaming about the Premier League. He had to wait for his chance. He didn’t moan.”

“He got his chance and since then he has been good for us. His pace & energy is there and he is becoming a player of massive importance.”

“I am a big fan of the Simpsons and saw his celebrations. To see him connected with Homer Simpson – no connection between the two.”

“Homer is lazy. Michail is a workaholic. But I enjoyed his celebration.”

“This is a big London derby. The message is I would like our fans to get behind the team and the club in a positive way.”

“Spurs deserve to be there in the table. They have played many games but they are doing amazing They have scored the most goals”

“The stats are there for books or a chronicle. I didn’t know we had the most points after 27 games. Nice to hear that.”

“It shows we are doing well but in football there is no space for yesterday. It is about today and tomorrow. We have a massive game now.”

“We want to try and continue our unbeaten home record. It would be brilliant if we stay unbeaten and win all six of them.”

“If we play like we have been doing then we have a chance. We beat Sunderland but we need to be more consistent.”

“Andy Carroll is an important player for us. He is at the stage where he is making a huge impact when he comes on.”

“He got injured against Bournemouth but he is back and there is a question in my head – is he back for 90 minutes? We will decide.”

That is all from Slaven.

    Just about covered everything,
What did he mean Read and Valencia are back ?
Does he mean as squad players or just training with the squad ?
Better to start with Carrol and if he struggles bring on Diafra or Emankini,
Sorry Slav you won’t be able to control the fans for this one,
    But as usual very professional
