West Ham’s final Premier League position re-calculated

|

West Ham could now finish 13th in the Premier League this season using a calculator to predict the results over the remaining games for the 20 teams in the top flight

It would mean that the Hammers would earn 44 points with a goal difference of -13 finishing behind Watford 7th, Wolves 8th, Everton 9th and Leicester City 10th, Newcastle 11th and Crystal Palace 12th while Cardiff City would join Fulham and Huddersfield in being relegated.

The calculator suggests Liverpool will pip Manchester City to the Premier League title by one point with Spurs finishing third on the same points as Arsenal in fourth for the Champions League qualifying place.

Chelsea looks likely to earn the group stage Europa place in fifth with Manchester United finishing sixth and picking up another Europa League place.

If we make a last minute substitution like yesterday, we may have to recalculate once again, not long to go, 2-1 up and we bring on a player with little match play after injury, just when we needed to continue as we were and hold out! the moment it happened I thought it was as if we were putting up The White Flag of surrender, we don’t want to Win! and soon it was True!

If we hadn’t been robbed by the usual level of officiating we have experienced pretty much the last decade we would be 5 points better off on 48 and very much in the fight for 7th not that we are ready but it is worth mentioning, if MP can sort out our defence there are good things ahead with a fully fit squad next season.

Agree we give away to many last minute goals. We need full backs who can defend & keep up.
But we have been better but the board have to back him with at least double of what we’ve heard kitty will be. Stop buying injury prone or old players bc cheap or free.
But yes some bad luck & bad officiating def doesnt helped. We could be in 9th with 49 if Felipe’s goal from Man U game stands which doubt should do with goal if that close seen plenty offside go for others & Perez’s top who has become super sub doesn’t do much but can poach. Don’t not what haponed heard MP doesn’t rate him or see him as footballer but he is a technical CF.
But our GD is bad too we’ve been around 40 points for months. 6 points & we are tied for 7th besides our bad GD. And now Palace arerighr behind is & only 4 points above Burnely!
Just gald Rice & Fab have stayed fit bc without them be very bad.
Hopefully MP gets backed & get proper CF get 15+ & Box to box CM RB or LB & CB. Good ong wingers.
